Data & Research

How we source, interpret, and publish fertility information—for transparency and understanding. We don’t collect data to market; we collect it to clarify. All information comes from public U.S. fertility databases and clinic-reported records.

What data we use

We rely on publicly available, clinic-reported sources to ensure every comparison is traceable to open records.

Primary sources

  • CDC ART Success Rates Database (latest: 2023 cycle)
  • SART Clinic Reports (participating clinics)
  • Clinic disclosures and coordinator confirmations

Note: These published sources underpin every clinic profile on BetterFreeze.

How we process information

Each dataset is handled with a three-step approach to improve clarity—not to claim certification:

  1. Verification

Cross-referenced against CDC/SART records and clinic disclosures.

  2. Normalization

Aligned by comparable indicators (e.g., success rate per embryo transfer).

  3. Annotation

Clinician notes that explain what the numbers mean in practice.

Note: We interpret public records to make complex results understandable.

Why we publish

Transparency is not our goal—it’s our method.

By showing how outcomes differ across clinics and programs, patients can understand the system itself and make informed choices.

  • We don’t sell ad placement or ranking positions.
  • We don’t alter or omit clinic records for commercial reasons.
  • Interpretations are made under clinical supervision.

Note: We operate independently to protect the integrity of information and the trust of users.

Example: U.S. national IVF outcomes (2023)

The table below shows how reported success rates vary by treatment type and age group.
